Spices and Oils can be of great assistance for those of us desiring to obtain and maintain spiritual cleansing and psychic protection.

Acetone: Splashed on a wall next to a bed will close up the room from astral visitors for a week or so.

Consecrated Salt: Sprinkled between the sheets reduce the occurrence of sexual dreams. Also, grounds ones astral expeditions to earthly planes.

Frankincense and Benzoin: Attracts spiritually beneficial influences and protects one from negative influences while you sleep.

Mothballs: Clear unwanted psychic intrusions. Burn with camphor helps to clear rooms of spiritual influences.

Sea Salt: Reduces psychic reverie. Great in bath or between sheets for dealing with invalids or children.

Turpentine: Burn a shot glass in the corner to assist individuals susceptible to nightmares, natural spirits, or other forces of nature.

Baths

Spiritual bathing exuberates our ability and intention to share in experiences beyond the flesh. Spiritual bathing cleans us of any influence that may be an unwarranted part of our aura. Spiritual baths release our intellectual hold on our body/mind and relinquishes it to the universe trusting a higher power to assist in directing our spiritual development. When taking a spiritual bath, do not include other ingredients like soap or bath oil. Keep in mind that this bath is to clean the mind, spirit and soul…only use those ingredients listed or in the prepared bath. Always bath physical and earthly dirt from your body before immersing in a spiritual bath. Clean the tub and bathroom before running a spiritual bath. Be sure to immerse your entire body in the water including your hair and all body parts. After bathing in the spiritual bath for 8 to 10 minutes, try to allow your hair and body to air dry. If this is not possible because of privacy or temperature issues, then utilize a towel to wrap your hair and body in, but try not to rub dry. Always pray for protection, calmness and improvement of spirituality when bathing.

Spiritual Cleansing

Utilize the following four baths to spiritually cleanse your spirit. They are easy to prepare:

1. In a half tub of water add a mixture of the following: (2 cups tap or sea water. 1 cup household ammonia. 1 teaspoon salt.) This mixture can be placed in a clean glass quart container before pouring in the tub water. While bathing for three (five) minute immersions, pray for the release of negative energy and influences.

2. In a half tub of water add a mixture of the following: (1 cup apple cider vinegar. 1 teaspoon salt). This mixture can also be placed in a clean glass container before pouring in the tub water. Bath for (five) minutes immersing yourself for at least three immersions.

3. In a regular tub bath add (¼ cup of baking soda). Over regular use, rids the body of odor, lightens the aura and overall well-being. Bath as usual.

4. In a regular tub of water (no soap added) add a mixture of the following: (¼ cup Epsom salt. 1 cup baking soda. 1 tablespoon either table or sea salt). Soak for ten to twenty minutes to release tension both physical and psychic.

Herbal Cleansing

Steep 1 teabag or 1 teaspoonful of the desired herb in boiling water and let stand until the tea cools off to room temperature. Pour 1 cup of tea to one-half tub of water. Utilize the
eight herbal baths to protect and spiritually cleanse yourself.

1. Basil (either fresh or dried) removes negativity and accumulation of auxiliary negativity. Use when you are feeling victimized, soiled, or threatened by others. Bath for (six minutes) submersing yourself for four immersions.

2. Cinnamon: break sticks in a cup of hot water to improve your income and resolve quarrels or dissension. Bath for (five minutes) submersing yourself for four immersions. If need assistance with finances, then to one cup of cinnamon tea add 4 cups of parsley tea. Divide the mixture into five equal parts. Take one bath a day for five days. Remain in bath for (six to eight) minutes submersing yourself for five times. For fertility uses, each partner should bath in a separate cinnamon tea separately from each other. Each partner should take the bath one right after the other submersing themselves for (six to eight) minutes immersing for seven times. Pray for health conception and safe delivery. Intercourse should follow immediately afterwards.

3. Coffee assists one in improving from physical illness. Can be added to a soap and water cleaning bath. Add three to six cups of strong brewed coffee to bath water and soak for (ten to fifteen) minutes. As a relief from a really hard work week, utilize only on Saturday mornings soaking for at least (eight to ten) minutes.

4. Hyssop can be used to assist one in attaining spiritual enlightment. Mix a cup of the tea in one-half tub of water and immerse yourself for (six to eight) minutes submersing yourself five times.

5. Nutmeg makes others more prone to listen attentively. It removes negative thoughts, which make us unlucky. Helps during times of personal stress especially when it is necessary to communicate with others who are basically unresponsive to your needs. Place a cup of the tea in your bath. Stay in the tub for (eight to ten) minutes submersing yourself six to eight times. Pray for strength to obtain what you desire.

6. Parsley a definite economic improvement bath. Combine it with cinnamon for an even more powerful outcome. You can use dried or fresh parsley. When using fresh parsley, use the entire bunch. Soak and simmer it in a quart size pot for about (fifteen or twenty) minutes. For dried parsley, repeat the procedure and think about adding cinnamon as directed under number 2. Parsley can be added to honey to sweeten one’s life when one believes that life has no joy left for them. Prepare the tea as usual and add a tablespoon of honey. Add this mixture to the bath water. Remain in the bath for (six to eight) minutes and submerse yourself five times. Ask for joy in proceeding with life’s spiritual journey.

7. Rue baths can assist one in finding their spiritual path. This tea is important to youngsters so willing to lose sight of their ancestral path. All those of Anasazi heritage can greatly improve from this type of bath. We were born in a particular region or environment for a specific reason. Until we can respect and understand our true heritage we cannot really become apart of anything else, for out past will return to us with a bite! Leaving one heritage before learning the lessons of it, or to remain after the lessons have been mastered is foolish. After one has accomplished their spiritual lessons, one should depart cleanly, without recriminations. Don’t hold ill feelings or bitterness toward others. Pray for clarity and enlightenment when taking this bath. Place 1 cup of tea in one-half tub of water and remain (eight) minutes submersing yourself for five times. Add Hyssop per number 4 to strengthen this resolve and diminish confusion.

8. Sage powered or leaf assists one in attaining enlightenment and wisdom. Take every Thursday morning at sunrise meditating on the week’s events. This bath diminishes illusions and delusions. Remain in the tub for about (nine) minutes submersing oneself nine times.

Chamomile: brings money, quiet sleep and affection and is used in spells to do with all matters of the family.
Cinnamon: spirituality, success, healing, psychic powers, money, love and passion.
Cherry: brings new love and divinatory abilities.
Cloves: spells for love and money; they repel hostility and improve memory.
Copal: use for protection and purification; it is especially good for cleansing crystals.
Cypress: use in times of transition to a new phase, letting go of sorrow.
Dragon's Blood: use for love and protection, passion and male potency.
Fern: An initiator of change, travel and fertility, brings hidden wealth, maybe in terms of potential.
Fig: use for wisdom, creativity and creation, fertility, harmony and balance.
Frankincense: use of courage, joy, strength, and success.
Freesia: increases trust, especially after loss or betrayal; brings belief in a better tomorrow.
GUM Arabic (acacia): rituals for dreams, meditation, psychic protection, and development.
Heather: use for passion, fidelity in love and good fortune; maximizes opportunities effective in weather magick, especially rain-making.
Honeysuckle: money, psychic powers and protection.
Hyacinth: overcoming opposition in love; brings happiness and desire for reconciliation.
